Motorsport Heritage

Jordanian passion. International standards.

RACJ helped shape a motorsport culture that connects historic rallies, new generations of drivers and events recognised on the international stage.

01

RACJ and Jordan Motor Sport

Through Jordan Motor Sport, RACJ organizes a wide range of events sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). These include Jordan Rally, Al-Hussein International Rumman Hill Climb, national rallies, hill climbs, karting challenges, speed tests, rally tours and 4x4 adventure rallies.

02

Jordan Rally and Historic Events

Jordan Rally has been a leading round of the FIA Middle East Championship since 1982. The late King Hussein established rallying in Jordan, with the first rally held in 1961 as a scavenger hunt and subsequent events expanding into proper rallies and other motorsport activities.

Al Hussein Rumman Hill Climb is one of the Middle East’s longest-standing sporting events and has become a highlight on Jordan’s social and sporting calendar.

03

Speed Tests, WRC and Karting

Speed tests were introduced to the motorsport calendar in 1964 and continue to attract competitors and large crowds. Jordan proudly hosted FIA World Rally Championship events in 2008, 2010 and 2011, demonstrating Jordan’s ability to organize international events to FIA standards. Karting also remains an important path for young drivers learning the foundations of motorsport.
