TIR SYSTEM
CONDITIONS TO ENROLL UNDER THE TIR SYSTEM:
- The Company should be registered at the Ministry of Industry and Trade / Companies Control Department .
- The Company should be licensed by Jordan Customs Department and have representatives at the cross borders.
- The Company should be registered at the Ministry of Transport as a Transport Operator.
- Good knowledge on the TIR SYSTEM.
- Certificate of good Conduct from the Customs and Sales Tax Departments.
- Clearance Certificate from the Customs Department and Sales Tax Department.
- Proven Financial record to be able to pay the financial obligations to the TIR issuing Association.
- Fill in the Application Form to enrol into TIR System.
- Provide the Financial Guarantees requested.
- Provide Vehicle Inspection Certificate issued by the Customs Department in order to enrol under TIR System.
- To Register vehicle’s plate numbers that will work under TIR System at the Ministry of Transport and Land Transport Regulatory Commission.
GUARANTEES REQUIRED:
1-Financial Bank Guarantee JOD 7800 or the equivalent in USD valid for one year and to be renewed yearly.
2- Financial a Bank Guarantee USD 2000 or the equivalent in JOD valid for one year paid once as a guarantee to return the TIR Carnet.
3-Any other guarantees that may be required by the issuing association.
VALIDITY OF TIR CARNET:
1-TIR Carnet is valid for 120 days from the date of issue.
2-TIR Carnet is valid for one trip.
3-TIR Carnet must be returned back at due time.
4-Bank guarantee can be released after 12 months from the return of last carnet.
HOW TO OBTAIN A TIR CARNET :
1-Provide the requested guarantee of USD 2000 or equivalent in JOD.
2-Provide Valid trailer License.
3-Provide Certificate issued by the Traffic Department approved by notary public allowing the driver to drive the vehicle.
4-Provide Valid Driver’s Driving License grade 6.
5-Provide Vehicle Approval Certificate issued by the Customs Department.
6-Sign all TIR related forms by the Company working under the TIR System.
